Peristaltic Processor (Color)

from $140.00

Peristaltic Processor” is an artistic representation of the digestive tract and its surrounding organs. The digestive tract is a processor and eliminator. An average person can hold about 4 pounds of food in their stomach and can produce over 2 pints of saliva per day. The “Peristaltic Processor” was inspired by my fascination with the inner workings of the gastrointestinal tract. The detail and effort that was put in this piece of art was beyond my other work and I spent the most amount of time attempting to bring minute details into the different components of our GI tract.

The original “Peristaltic Processor” is 18” x 24” and was made over four days and 22 hours in January 2019 when I was a third-year Internal Medicine resident
