About Saurin
My love for drawing began when I was a child, but my passion for creating highly intricate art started when I was in medical school.
Inspired by the beauty I saw in the human body, I was determined to create art that would leave an impact. My tool of choice was a sharpie and after dabbling with creating superhero art, Star Wars art, and TV show characters, I found true joy in making medical art. Intersecting my professional life with my hobby gave me a sense of balance.
Many of my pieces have spread beyond my drawing paper – some have been featured in medical newsletters and press releases, and one of the pieces, “Cerebral Imagination” is published as the frontispiece in a major Neurology textbook published by Oxford Press and distributed worldwide.
I now reside in Austin, TX and make all of my art from the comfort of my home, hoping to one day expand into a gallery.
