Cerebral Imagination (Color)

from $140.00

“Cerebral Imagination” is an artistic representation of a sagittal cross-section of the brain. This piece represents the first intersection between my life as a physician and my passionate hobby as an artist. A product of my curiosity and my appreciation of the human body, I wanted to create a piece demonstrating the beauty and function of the human brain. I think of the brain as a masterful conductor of the orchestra that is our human body.

This piece has been featured and published as the frontispiece at the beginning of the “Integrative Neurology” textbook published by Oxford University Press in conjunction with the Weil Integrative Medicine Library. The book has been published in over three languages and is distributed worldwide.

This piece has been featured by Dell Medical School at the University of Texas - Austin in their monthly newsletter.

The original “Cerebral Imagination” is 18” x 24” and was made over three days and eighteen hours in July 2017 when I was a second-year Internal Medicine resident.
